Votes, meetings & approvals
Run an owners' vote
Set the question, weighting, quorum and majority, schedule it, and publish a protocol.
ManagersUpdated
Create the vote
- Step 1: Go to Governance › Votes and press New vote. Owners, admins, managers and board members can create votes.
- Step 2: Write the Question and Background voters will read.
- Step 3: Set 2–10 Options (Yes / No by default). Keep Allow abstaining on if abstentions should count toward the quorum.
- Step 4: Choose Secret ballot if the protocol shouldn't show how each unit voted.
- Step 5: Pick the Scope (all buildings or one), and optionally link a planned Meeting.
- Step 6: Choose the Weighting, Quorum and Majority, set the Voting window, and press Start voting. Or Save draft.
| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| One vote per unit | Every eligible unit counts the same. |
| By area (default) | Each unit's vote weighs its floor area. |
| By ownership share | Each unit's vote weighs its share. Units without a share can't vote. |
| Quorum (default 50%) | Weight cast, including abstentions, divided by all eligible weight. |
| Majority (default 50%) | The leading option's weight divided by the weight cast for options (abstentions excluded). A tie never passes. |
While voting is open
- A vote that opens in the future is Scheduled and can still be edited until it opens.
- Once open it can't be edited. Live turnout shows units voted and weight cast against the quorum.
- Results stay hidden from everyone until voting closes.
- It closes automatically at the closing time, or early with Close now. Cancel vote stops it without a result.
Results and protocol
After closing, the vote shows each option's weight, abstentions and whether the quorum was met. Open the Protocol for a printable record of the procedure, results, each unit's ballot (or "Secret") and signature lines.
