Submit a meter reading with a photo
Snap your meter, check the number Kelvo Nest reads, and send it in under a minute.

- Step 1: Go to Meters (or press Submit readings on the banner on your home screen).
- Step 2: On the meter's card press Submit reading.
- Step 3: Press Take a photo (or Choose from photos). Fit the whole counter in the frame.
- Step 4: Kelvo Nest reads the number from the photo and fills it in. Check that every digit matches your meter.
- Step 5: Press Submit reading.
No camera? Choose Enter manually and type the number, though a photo lets your reading be checked and approved faster.
What happens next
- Approved — matches your photo: the photo clearly shows the number you entered. You're done.
- Sent to your manager for review: someone at your association checks it. You can still Change reading until it's approved.
- Rejected: your manager left a note and asks for a new reading. Press Submit again.
