Kelvo Nest bills monthly. Each month is a billing period that turns readings, prices, expenses and adjustments into one explained invoice per unit.
Open a period
- Step 1: Go to Billing › Periods and press New period.
- Step 2: Check the Month and Year (the month after your latest period is suggested).
- Step 3: Set the Invoice date and Payment deadline. They default to the 5th and 25th of the following month; the deadline becomes the due date on every invoice.
- Step 4: Press Create period. There can be only one period per month.
The five steps
Inside a period the sidebar shows the steps in order. The Billing checklist on the period's Overview shows how far you are.
| Step | What you do |
|---|---|
| 1. Readings | Collect and review meter readings. See Enter and review readings. |
| 2. Pricing | Set the price per unit of each meter type. See Set meter prices. |
| 3. Expenses | Enter shared costs such as cleaning or insurance. See Expenses. |
| 4. Adjustments | Optional one-off charges or credits for single units. |
| 5. Invoices | Preview every invoice before you finalize. |
